Scientists of Turkmenistan have long been conducting research work to identify new sources and determine reserves of raw materials of the country, such as hydrocarbons, minerals and hydrominerals. They are closely engaged in the establishment of the physical, chemical properties and chemical compositions of these valuable natural wealth. As a result of the work carried out, a large amount of research and information material has been accumulated. Currently these invaluable materials are used by professionals involved in chemistry and chemical technology.
All departments and laboratories of the Institute of Chemistry, from January 1, 2020, completely was transmitted to self-financing. Currently, the Institute of Chemistry has 4 laboratories and 2 departments. All of them are engaged in research, search and evaluation work. In addition, the Institute of Chemistry conducts comprehensive work on the training of highly qualified personnel for technological, research institutes and higher educational institutions, as well as the chemical industry of Turkmenistan.
Scientists of the Institute of Chemistry have prepared and published more than 1,450 scientific articles, 19 monographs and about 35 books.
